Choosing the right engagement ring

Choosing the right engagement ring

First of all, you have to know that even if no woman is going to sulk in front of a traditional ‘big rock’ solitaire ring, the trend has evolved. Nowadays, people tend to follow their personal taste rather than going for the classical type of engagement ring. It can be any style: antique, modern, art Deco, minimalist – you name it – any shape, or any colour. The most important thing is that it has to match the fiancée’s personality. So it has to be as unique as her. And what better way to get a unique engagement ring than designing a jewel around a natural color diamond? Indeed, no two color diamonds are the same. Another thing is a diamond no longer has to be as big as possible: it can be smaller, with a cleverly designed setting that enhances the stone’s color and shape. At Langerman Diamonds, we collaborate with our clients to create the exact type of ring they have in mind.

Trend wise, we have recently noticed a strong interest for either vintage, or on the contrary, hyper contemporary style engagement rings. As for the colors, small deep blue diamonds have been very successful lately, as well as more muted colors like salmon and old rose. In fact, the possibilities with natural colour diamonds are endless. Now the real challenge is going to be discretion: how to find a way to know your fiancée’s ring size without her noticing it? Either you borrow one of her rings and bring it to your local jeweler to measure it, or you ask one of her friends to get the information for you. We leave it to you!
