GemGenève Prepares to Open its Doors in Geneva

GemGenève, The Geneva International Gem and Jewellery show prepares to open its doors at Palexpo, Geneva, for the second year, on May 9th (May 9th-12th).

For its second edition the show has grown slightly, with a total of some 200 exhibitors. Thomas Faerber and Ronny Totah, GemGenève founders explained a few weeks ago in a press conference that they had both felt the time was right for a new-style of gem and jewellery show, one that was smaller, more intimate and focused on fine quality; a show that would reveal the true spirit of the international world of gem and jewellery trading. They added that one of the factors that set GemGenève apart from other shows was the fact that it is organised by industry insiders, by exhibitors themselves.

Windsor Jewellers Inc, New York, a new GemGenève exhibitor in 2019, renowned experts in antique and estate jewellery, will be offering one of the world’s rarest of famous diamonds, a stone with an illustrious showbiz provenance: The Blue Bird diamond, a 9.30 carat fancy deep blue Internally Flawless diamond that belonged to child star and “America’s Little Darling,” Shirley Temple.  Among other higlights, Dehres will show  a pair of diamond earrings featuring two 1.6-carat radiant cut studs with 2 half-carat brilliant diamonds and 2 stunning dangling 5-carat pear-shaped Fancy Light Pink Diamonds.
