Pure gray diamonds are rare, more common is to find gray diamonds with some traces of green, blue or brown. They have recently gained in importance on the market, and in November 2011 a 10.67 carat gray Silvermist Diamond, estimated at $120,000-$200,000, sold for a record-breaking 1.19 million dollars, over $100,000 per carat.
