No Takers for Diamond-Studded Taj Replica
By: The Times of India, SURAT: There was no bidder for the replica of the diamond-studded Taj Mahal during its auction at the Sparkle International-2014 here on Monday.
The fixed base price of the Taj Mahal was Rs 1.25 crore. The eight-foot high replica is made of gold, silver, 50,000 gem stones and diamonds.
"We approached many parties asking them to participate in the process, but no one evinced interest in it. I feel the base price was a bit on the higher side," South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and IndustriesÂ
