Storm Mountain Diamonds Finds 'Exceptional' 23.82 Carat Pink

(IDEX Online) – Storm Mountain Diamonds, owners of the KAO Mine in Lesotho, have recovered a second exceptional pink diamond following the recovery earlier this year of a 36.06-carat pink diamond (the ‘Pink Storm’).

The latest discovery – a 23.82-carat exceptional pink diamond has been called the ‘Lesotho Storm’.

Fusion/Hennig Tenders will tender the ‘Lesotho Storm’, along with a 51-carat and 35-carat yellow diamond and the full run-of-mine production in both Dubai and Antwerp from September 21 to October 7.

The tender will comprise over 30,000 carats of stones, encompassing the full range of sizes and assortments, including large and special stones, Fusion Alternatives said in a statement.

Fusion/Hennig Tenders’ CEO Adam Schulman stated, “The KAO production is a premier production from Lesotho and the ability to offer another rare pink stone the 'Lesotho Storm’, makes this tender all the more exciting."

The KAO Mine is the largest diamond-bearing diamond pipe in Lesotho and the fourth-largest in South Africa and Lesotho. The mine regularly produces a broad spectrum of sizes and qualities, including exceptional large white and fancy coloured stones.
