The Colors of Cutting Edge Design

Designers love color diamonds. All diamonds have character, but colored diamonds have that unique zing and make any piece of jewelry more desirable. We're seeing increasing numbers of jewelry designers who see this use of colored diamonds as a creative step forward. This has been a clear trend at recent jewelry shows in the US. From JA New York last January to the forthcoming JCK Las Vegas (May 29 to June 1), we're excited to see exhibitors showcasing their beautiful designs with sparkling diamond colors.

Check out the young Brazilian designer Mary Esses, who's using grey, champagne and chocolate diamonds. Belgian Casa Gi loves yellow and black diamonds, while New York’s VIVAAN produces mesmerizing jewelry using colored semi-precious stones and diamonds, as well as industrial rough color diamonds. Then there's the rising star Arunashi Bohra, now based in Beverly Hills, who is currently preparing an amazing collection mixing different materials and colored diamonds.
