It’s Personal - 2016 spring summer trends

[Amber Michelle]  Anything goes for spring/summer fashion 2016, as long as it’s tailored to your personality.

Details, details...it’s all in the details for spring fashion 2016, as long as it’s comfortable and creates a unique statement. From bows to ruffles, feathers, fringe and frayed edges to fashion favorites pleats and pockets, it’s all in how the looks are combined. The biggest news is that the rules of fashion are bending, allowing for more freedom of choice. Hemlines are everywhere from thigh high to ankle brushing and hovering at all lengths in between. Pants are narrow and skinny, or wide and wider. Boho hippie chic influenced by the 1970s stays on track along with daywear and eveningwear inspired by athletic wear. Pantsuits take center stage. Prints and patterns continue strong, with a hothouse of florals and landscapes, animal prints, drawings, scribbles, painterly art and words all making the scene. Graphic stripes, dots and plaids are key. Metallics remain a staple. Slouchy and oversized pieces continue to trend and layering is crucial to creating personal style.
