Oscar for Bold Personal Statement and Best Ring goes to Natalie Portman!

Embracing courage and refinement, Natalie Portman shined on the Oscars red carpet with statement fashion. A longtime advocate of women’s rights, the actress looked ultra-elegant in a stunning gold and black dress and cape by Dior, with a surprising embellishment. Embroidered in gold on the edge of the cape were the names of eight directors ignored by the Academy this year, including Little Women Director Greta Gerwig. 

In a video shared on Twitter by reporter Amy Kaufman, Portman explained why she chose to make a sartorial statement. "I wanted to recognize the women who were not recognized for their incredible work this year, in my subtle way," the actress said.

The award-winning actress added a final touch to her breathtaking and daring look — a black lacquer ring with yellow and white diamonds and rose gold and diamond earrings by Cartier.
