Paris: The 28th Edition of The Biennale des Antiquaires
The 28th edition of The Biennale des Antiquaires, Paris’s prestigious art, antiques and jewellery fair has opened his doors until 18 September 2016.
For this Biennale more space has been made for antiques dealers and therefore less jewelers are exhibiting in comparison to the previous editions (from 14 jewellers in 2014 to 4 in 2016) but nevertheless some renowned young and contemporary high jewellery are present with some magnificent colored diamonds: Cindy Chao from Taiwan, Nirav Modi from India, Boghossian and De Grisogono from Geneva—the latter being the only one to have previously exhibited at the Biennale.
Nirav Modi
All jewels boast unparalleled and supreme artistry, exceptional finesse and floating lightness. Keen on creating inspiring delights, he uses unique diamonds cuts : Jasmine cut™, Endless cut®, Ainra® cut Mughal® he has been featured on the covers of Sotheby’s and Christie’s Catalogues.
Cindy Chao
The Taiwanese jewelry artist who has gained international acclaim for her hand-sculptured, gem-encrusted jewels wants to show that she can create different designs. For her first public exhibition, reflecting her brand’s 12th anniversary, she only shows 12 pieces.
Boghossian
They are known for their innovative craftsmanship with different signature techniques, such as the « Stone in Stone » technique and their precious « Kissing gems ». Th Kissing ring is one of their creation with a stunning colored diamond: an Emerald-Cut Vivid Yellow Diamond set on an Oval-Cut White Diamond.
De Grisogono
They master different techniques and are known for what its “art of inlay” technique where gems are set within one another.
A wonderfull collection with a perfect balance between noble materials (gold, titanium, diamonds) is the "Follies " collection.
